Alpaca Farms is located in southeastern Pennsylvania, surrounded by beautiful Amish country.  The farm was started by Bud Griffith in 1986.  He is one of the pioneers of east coast alpaca breeding, helping to lay the groundwork for what has become one of America's greatest investment opportunities. 

We are dedicated to the breeding of outstanding alpacas.  These beautiful animals originated in the mountains of South America.  Alpacas were first introduced to the United States in 1984, when a small number of them were imported here from Chile.  Later imports brought alpacas here from Peru and Bolivia as well.  There are two types of alpaca, the huacaya and the suri.  Alpaca Farms is proud to raise an outstanding offering of both breeds.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Alpaca Farms, our first concern is the animals.  We are a mid-sized farm of about 65 alpacas.  This allows us to be able to give personalized attention to each of our animals.  As a result, our alpacas are gentle and people-oriented.  The business is a family run operation, and our goal is to raise outstanding breeding stock in a relaxed environment.
